Sky Media Services: Design and Development
At the heart of the services provided by Sky Media, is the creation and development of Christian multimedia content. This service area includes the design of courses and curriculum (specifically oriented toward the capability of multimedia technology), design and specification of multimedia titles, and creation and full development of the titles.

Design and Specification
Included in this area are the following services:
- Course and Curriculum Design
This encompasses the design and specifications for one or more courses and related curriculum with a special focus on the use of the latest technologies and related concepts and strategies
- Design And Specification Of The Multimedia Title
This includes the interface between the computer-based environment and the user, navigation of the user through the information (information flow), the functionality of teaching tools, links (within the system and over the Internet), exercises, and interactive graphics/images and animations, and any special functions.
Development of the Multimedia Content
This category of activity is where the multimedia design and specifications proceed through development and actually becomes a finished product. The product at this point is based either on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, and possibly includes a combination of VHS tape with a teacher's guide and student workbook. The deliverables from this set of services include:
- Fully rendered top-of-service interface including animated
objects (as
required), specialized buttons, icons, windows
and control panels
all within the theme, color and texture scheme
of the overall title
- Detailed graphics, multi-layer images, and photographs
- Digital-format video presentations and video clips
- Audio presentations, transcripts, and voice-overs
- Complex, detailed objects—both static and animated
- Extensive multimedia programming in optimized form—enabling
the interface, flow, and functionality of
the product title
- Virtual reality environment(s)—designed, developed, rendered
and stitched
- Complete set of internal links and external (Internet/Web)
links
- Dialog boxes and help screens
- Floating windows with scrollable text (coded and/or bit mapped)
- Custom music and sound effects
- Full range of beta-testing and final technical/functional
testing
- A complete multimedia title—fully developed, integrated, tested,
and
packaged. The multimedia product is ready for distribution and
use.
